Core Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic problems on plant equipment.
- Install and align motors, blowers, and transmissions, as well as newly acquired equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot control systems for AC and DC motors, as well as instrumentation.
- Rebuild mechanical gearboxes, vacuum pumps, and water pumps.
- Possess basic knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Calibrate electrical equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Complete assigned jobs, including filling out necessary paperwork and communicating job status.
- Perform breakdown repair analysis to determine root causes of problems.
- Teach production employees basic maintenance practices, such as cleaning, inspections, filter changes, and lubrication.
- Contact vendors as needed or directed by supervisors or team leads.
- Report activities into SAP software according to company procedures.
- Participate in working teams and team meetings, contributing to team responsibilities.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in maintenance areas and wherever work is performed.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics is preferred.
- Previous experience with CMMS software is preferred, especially SAP.
- Knowledge of 5 Whys or FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) is preferred.
- Experience with infrared (IR) technology, lubrication principles, oil analysis, and laser alignment is required.
- At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience required, with 3+ years in a large industrial setting preferred.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of vocational/technical training with relevant certification.
