Job Description: The Vice President of Supply Chain Management will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives. This role will have a significant impact on the company's operational efficiency, cost management, and customer satisfaction for North America market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that support the company's growth and profitability.
- Ensure the supply chain strategy is aligned with the company's overall business strategy.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee manufacturing, planning, logistics, and procurement functions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuously improve processes to reduce costs and enhance service levels.
Risk Management:
- Identify and manage supply chain risks, including supply and demand variability, and implement mitigation strategies.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure quality and reliability.
Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Manage logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of products to customers.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Performance Measurement:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on supply chain performance against these metrics.
Compliance and Sustainability:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Drive initiatives that promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility within the supply chain.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product development, to align supply chain activities with business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading and transforming supply chain operations in a CPG environment.
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are highly preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, logistics, planning, and procurement.
- Experience managing large, diverse teams in a matrixed organization.
