Air Export Manager

This exciting role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the export process for air cargo, including coordination with freight forwarders, airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers. A solid understanding of airfreight logistics and regulations will be needed to be successful in this role. Their office is in the San Francisco, CA area. The company is a leading supplier of global solutions in transport and logistics. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the air export process, including preparation of shipping documents, customs clearance, and booking with air carriers
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of cargo
• Manage relationships with customers, vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure the highest level of service and customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required
• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required
• Prior experience in air exports and supervisory experience is highly preferred
• Experience with leading air cargo logistics software and systems is required.
• Familiarity with airfreight regulations, customs requirements, and export controls
• Knowledge of airline routes and schedules
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles

Salary Range:

• $80,000-117,000 depending on experience
