Trinity Rail Maintenance Services is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Production Scheduler in our Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility!

What you'll do:

  • Build integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics and outside suppliers
  • Focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis
  • Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the maintenance repair shop
  • Determine car requirements and coordinate the efficient movement of production and engineering
  • Coordinate information and activities with other team members
  • May coordinate or exchange information with third parties, vendors, or customers
  • Lead technical and mechanical reviews with Operations, Safety, Welding, Quality to analyze and develop optimal process instructions
  • Develop and conduct reports, manage meetings, and support the railcar maintenance
  • Collaborate with Lean and Continuous Improvement teams at plants during Kaizen events or Value Stream mapping activities
  • Collect, compile, and present railcar maintenance progress and status report on a daily basis, or as requested
  • Required to provide support during peak fulfillment periods to meet corporate financial targets
  • Responsible for ensuring inventory & material controls are in place and executed per the plan
  • Other duties as assigned



What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with one year experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 9 years of manufacturing experience without degree
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with many levels within the organization
