Currently recruiting for a Purchasing Manager for a company in North Syracuse in the ready mix, aggregates and trucking industry. This person will lead the Purchasing and Parts departments throughout the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment necessary for operations.

Responsibilities:

-Manage capital purchases and all aspects of plant purchasing

-Develop and implement purchasing strategies to improve processes and reduce cots

-Create relationships with vendors to negotiate prices, determine delivery schedules, and make informed purchasing decisions

-Prepare and manage department budgets

-Collaborate across departments to strategize on best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred

Knowledge of asphalt materials and construction processes

Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions

Vendor management experience

Prior experience leading a team of purchasers
