Job Summary: Overall, an Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in managing and teaching service technicians, while ensuring that clients have the most efficient and cost-effective HVAC systems to meet their heating and cooling needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assessing the needs of clients and providing them with cost-effective and efficient solutions for their heating and cooling needs.
- Conducting site visits to assess the heating and cooling requirements of clients.
- Developing detailed proposals that outline the scope of work and the associated costs.
- Communicating with clients to explain the recommendations and proposals and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
- Communicating with clients to explain equipment problems and repairs needed.
- Collaborating with installation technicians to ensure that the project is completed efficiently and to the client's satisfaction.
- Teaching, managing, and supervising service technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including heating and cooling systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and furnaces.
- Maintaining accurate records of project specifications, costs, and other relevant information.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Test and adjust HVAC systems to ensure they meet performance specifications.
- Support the General Manager as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including 2+ years of sales experience and 3+ years of service/installation field experience.
- Current EPA Certification.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC systems, their operation, and installation.
- Attention to detail to create accurate estimates and proposals.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
