The Rockland County Department of Law, Office of the County Attorney is seeking a candidate to perform litigation of a moderate to complex nature representing the County of Rockland.
This is professional legal work involving responsibility for representing the County Attorney in court cases and other legal proceedings, hearings and appeals and for providing legal advice and assistance to County departments. All work is performed under the general direction of the County Attorney and work guidance may be provided to attorneys and support staff. Does related work as required.
Required Qualifications : Possession of a license to practice law in New York State and candidates must provide a current certificate of good standing. Residency within Rockland County is required .
Salary and benefits are competitive with the public sector market including but not limited to the following :
- Approximately $88,079 Annual Salary ($90,281 as of January 1, 2025 )
- 40 Hour work week (8 hours per day, Monday through Friday)
