Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Data Quality Analyst:
- Perform tests and comparisons on large data sets to ensure data integrity
- Run data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, and clean data as needed
- Gather and interpret data from primary or secondary sources to identify trends
- Evaluate system enhancements and recommend resolutions for identified issues
- Collaborate with data engineers to improve and standardize data collection and storage processes
- Communicate corrective actions to staff and leadership when errors are discovered
- Define and maintain data standards, definitions, and models
Required Skills for Data Quality Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in a data analysis role
- Proficiency in programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong understanding of database management, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and tests
- Experience with data organization and calculation programs such as Power BI and MS Excel
- Exceptional analytical and advanced problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
