Land Development Engineer (EIT)
Location: Maryland
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Development Engineer (EIT) to join our clients growing team. This is an exciting opportunity with to be a founding member in my clients new Maryland Office (Team of 4 right now). This company is backed by a national Fortune 500 Home Builder company. The role focuses on delivering high-quality solutions for Residential and Commercial development projects while ensuring compliance with environmental, municipal, and client-specific standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers to develop site plans for residential and commercial land development projects, including grading, stormwater management, and utility layouts.
- Conduct site investigations to gather relevant data for project designs.
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
- Coordinate with local agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Assist in project scheduling, budget management, and client communications.
- Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
- 2-4+ years of experience in land development engineering, including site design, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of stormwater management, erosion control, and municipal permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
