Employment Type: Full-Time, 100% onsite On-Site (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
Compensation: Hourly, up to $28.84 (Max pay $60K annually)
Position Summary:
LHH's client is seking a Buyer with healthcare buying experience, ideally in an OR or Surgical Center setting. In this role, you will manage the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and services essential to our operations. Your expertise in the healthcare sector will enable you to evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely availability of high-quality products. You will play a key role in optimizing our purchasing processes, maintaining budgetary compliance, and supporting our overall mission of excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors in the healthcare industry to ensure the best value and quality of products.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization’s goals and budget, focusing on cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Monitor inventory levels and assess demand to maintain adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment, minimizing waste and shortages.
- Stay informed about market trends, new products, and technological advancements in the healthcare sector to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Work closely with clinical staff and department heads to understand their needs and ensure the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Prepare and maintain reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and budget adherence for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on the healthcare industry.
