JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based general surgical pathology practice
• Reason for Coverage: One pathologist is leaving in September
• Dates of Coverage: Dates in November
• Laboratory Hold: CAP, CLIA, AABB
• Number of Cases Read Per Day: Approximately 30
• Physicians in the Group: 3
• Histotechnologists: 4
• Pathology Assistants: 1
• Cytotechnologists: 1
• Other Pathologists Present During Coverage: Yes
• Equipment: Usual AP equipment, including Thermo Scientific Cryostat and Olympus Microscopes
• Method of Preparation: ThinPrep
• Required Anatomic Pathology Procedures: Surgical Pathology, GI Pathology, GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Cytology
• Average Number of Patients Per Day: 30
• Documentation System/EMR: PowerPath and Cerner
• Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS :

• Clean Background- highly preferred
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pathology - REQUIRED
• NJ license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
