Bell+Associates Architecture, located in Ottawa, ON, serves residential and commercial clients by providing unique custom design solutions. Please note the candidate must be available for in-person meeting within 24 hours’ notice (flexible scheduling).

With over 90+ years of combined design experience, the team collaborates closely with clients to achieve their vision while optimizing property features and respecting budgets.


Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Architectural Technologist at Bell+Associates Architecture in Ottawa, ON. The Senior Architectural Technologist will be responsible for assisting with the development of a project from schematic design through to construction. We offer a great opportunity for an individual to assist in the design process for custom homes, cottages, renovations, additions, and commercial spaces.


Roles and Responsibilities


• Work with our established processes, and programs.

• Be keen to learn new methods and experiences as a team member

• Provide design support during the Schematic Design and Design Development phases

• Produce 3D Revit models and detailed renderings using Twinmotion

• Use Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other software resources to create and prepare accurate construction drawings based on schematic/design development sketches

• Review design requirements and offer recommendations to support construction projects

• Coordinate drawings and provide information to the team

• Maintain familiarity with current techniques and developments to sustain and improve technical skills

• Communicate with clients throughout the design process to share updates and answer questions


Qualifications


• Must have post-secondary education or equivalent to a 3-year college diploma in Architectural Technology

• Technology skills: Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software with at least 10 years of experience.

• Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details to ensure that work is done correctly and thoroughly

• Must demonstrate knowledge of architectural design principles and procedures

• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code

• Ability to commute to our Ottawa office. This is an in-office position and relocation expenses will not be provided.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English

• Ability to collaborate and work well with other team members

Summary


Salary Range: $75,000 to $120,000 + bonus program

Job Type: Probationary period leading to permanent full-time employee

Required experience: 10+ years

Required education: Diploma in Architectural Technology
