Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Long Term Care team in Powell River, BC, working as a Physiotherapy Assistant. Apply today to join our team!
As a Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Assistant you will:
Function under the operational supervision of the Manager or Team Leader the practice supervision of the PT Practice Coordinator and the direction of a licensed designated physiotherapist to work as a member of the health care team.
Provide assigned physical therapy therapeutic interventions.
Assist in modification of PT care plans in order to enable clients to maximize potential for independence.
Provide functional direction to client and family, report relevant observations of client's condition and progress in writing or by utilizing basic computer literacy, manage equipment safety and inventory.

Qualifications Education & Experience
Completion of a recognized Diploma level Rehabilitation Assistant Program with Physical therapy components plus one (1) year's recent, related experience working with target population or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle. Local area travel requires the use of a personal vehicle for which mileage will be reimbursed.
