If you welcome a different pace of life and look for the chance to use the full scope of your clinical practice, EMS in Northern Alberta could be the right fit for you. Gain experience in our diverse northern landscape, surrounded by expansive prairie fields, bustling urban centers, lush wetlands, boreal forests, and sprawling mountain passes. Alberta Health Services (AHS) can offer you a career that fits your lifestyle and numerous opportunities for professional growth and development. Joining AHS means becoming a part of an exceptional team. AHS has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, Alberta’s Top 75 Employers, Canada’s Top Employers for Young People, and Canada’s Best Diversity Employers. In addition to competitive compensation, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Where you will be stationed: The city of Grande Prairie is located in northwest Alberta and has something for everyone! In addition to a state-of-the-art recreation facility, there are many outdoor and indoor activities available at our numerous parks and golf courses. Casual employees in the Grande Prairie District are eligible to work shifts in six communities: Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Spirit River, Valleyview, Fox Creek, and Grande Cache. This could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for to live, work, and play in northern Alberta. See what AHS has to offer you. New graduates are welcome to apply.
