Inspired Every Day.nnDriver - Full-Time Daysnn9am-3:30pm Monday - FridaynnThe driver will provide safe, dependable transportation and assistance for residents of 270 East Avenue, Brentland Woods, Valley Manor, and Beatrice Place.nnPay Rate: $19.00/hourlynnAs a full-time driver, you are eligible to receive:nnHealth InsurancennDental insurancennETO (Earned Time Off)nnPaid Holidaysnn401k with company matchnnWeekly PaychecksnnESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSnnAssist and transport residents to and from outside activities safely, comfortably and in a timely fashion. Adhere to all NYS traffic laws and safe driving practices 100% of the time.nnOffer assistance to recreation staff during scheduled outings.nnCooperate with staff, families and residents in setting up the weekly schedule and making subsequent adjustments when needed.nnKeep accurate records of residents served.nnEnsure that no resident is left unattended in the vehicle.nnAssist residents boarding vehicle and escort them to and from buildings as necessary.nnPosition residents safely in vehicle.nnTransport residents in ESLC vehicles, including but not limited to 14 passenger bus with wheelchair lift while abiding by the ESLC Vehicle Use Policy.nnPerform routine pre-checks and maintain vehicles in good and clean condition.nnNotify recreation manager immediately of any vehicle malfunctions and/or problems.nnAddress residents by name.nnExhibit, in conversations and actions, respect for residents and family members at all times.nnReport any unresolved resident issues to supervisory staff.nnPerform snow removal as necessary.nnPick up or deliver supplies, as needed.nnUtilize technology to ensure safe transport of residents (ie: GPS, Bluetooth)nnRequirementsnnQUALIFICATIONS:nnA minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.nnMust have at least two year experience providing transportation to groups (i.e. older adults or youth).nnMust have a valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record for use of ESLC vehicle to conduct company business.nnMust be able to respond calmly to emergency situations and must be reliable.nnMust have the ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public.nnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee exercises some initiative and independent judgment to effectively perform the essential job duties of this position.nnRESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS:The employee has no direct responsibility for others.nnSAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be fully acquainted with all safety policies and procedures of Valley Manor. Takes an active role in all fire drills during the shift and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by supervisor and incident manager. Maintain accurate and timely coordination with front desk.Must comply with facility in-service requirements.nnMaintain confidentiality of all information related to the organization, residents, participants, family and staff, that may be encountered, either formally or informally, during the normal course of business. This includes medical and treatment records, financial and human resources information.
