Title:nnMISS: HVAC Supervisor (Contingency Hire)nnBelong, Connect, Grow with KBR!nnProgram SummarynnThe MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq. In addition to providing ongoing base operations and Life Support Services, KBR will provide differentiated advisory and consultancy capabilities to the Iraqi Government with a focus on creating an effective program environment to support delivery of strategic economic planning, strategy development, feasibility studies, technical reviews and large-scale project management. Under this contract KBR will provide facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, along with foodservice, base camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services.nnJob SummarynnThe HVAC Supervisor will be based at the US Embassy in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will be responsible for supervising installation, maintenance, and repair to HVAC equipment throughout assigned site. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and not necessarily all inclusive.nnPlease note: This position is located in Baghdad, Iraq and is contingent on award.nnRoles and ResponsibilitiesnnResponsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.nnComply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.nnPerform maintenance and repair to window air conditioners and split units up to 5 tons.nnPerform maintenance and repair on package units up to 50 tons.nnPerform maintenance on VFD’s, with motors ranging from 5hp to 40hp.nnPerform maintenance and repair on chillers and chilled water circulation pumps.nnPerform maintenance and repair on refrigerated containers and walk in coolers.nnProficient in troubleshooting chiller control boards and working around high AC and DC voltages.nnPerform maintenance and repair on VAV boxes, electric heaters, and exhaust fans.nnUse refrigerant charging equipment and recovery equipment.nnBe on-call 24/7 and willing to respond quickly to critical issues.nnPerform additional duties and projects as assigned.nnBasic QualificationsnnA High school diploma and vocational training in HVACnnTen (10) years’ HVACR (Refrigeration) repair experience on commercial equipment.nnAble to perform physical labor including safely lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.nnExpertise in standard shop computations and measuring instruments.nnAble to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare daily reports and work orders.nnMust have good organizational and communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.nnKnowledge and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).nnKnowledge of all principles and processes involved in operation maintenance and support services for HVACR at an overseas facility.nnExperience providing excellent customer services.nnAbility to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at any given time and rapidly adapt to changing priorities and schedules.nnCross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.nnExpert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.nnAbility to become an active and functioning member of a team.nnMust have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.nnAbility to recognize, evaluate, and manage risk to develop effective controls and provide safe and healthy working conditions to prevent incidents, injuries, illnesses, and environmental pollution.nnExpert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.nnUS CitizennnUS Passport with minimum one plus year validity remaining.nnMust have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.nnMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.nnMust currently possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification prior to being hired is required for the position.nnMust maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.nnPreferred QualificationsnnExperience working on Reefers and chillers.nnPrevious out of home country HVACR experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.nnExperience working with Maximo applications.nnExperience working with PAE/Amentum.nnExperience in OCONUS operations and maintenance projects in an international environment preferred.nnKnowledge of principles and processes involved in operating and supporting maintenance and repair on kitchen, laundry, and gym equipment at an overseas facility.nnKnowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services.nnExpert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.nnPrevious international experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions.nnExperience working withing Government Contracts.nnMust have effective communication skills (written/verbal) with exceptional problem resolution abilities.nnAbility to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.nnExpert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.nnAbility to become an active and functioning member of a team.nnAbility to be innovative and be an agent for change.nnKBR BenefitsnnKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
