When we succeed, you succeed and together our best becomes better.nnHOW A LEAD OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:nn· Supporting the preparation and maintenance of contingency operation and emergency action plans.nn· Developing draft exercise plans that will test new concepts and approaches and will support general mission readiness, mission-essential operational and leadership training.nn· Conducting assessments and evaluations of key existing and new mission-essential processes and procedures.nn· Performing watch officer tasks that include answering phones and radios, observing cameras, TVs and other monitoring devices to provide timely information in support of the organization.nn· Proving draft reports for events and other matters that relate to events, incidents, and other activities within the organization.nn· Facilitating communications and automated equipment technologies in an operations center.nn· Preparing for training, testing, and exercise opportunities, both pre-planned and with no-notice.nn· Assessing and evaluating tests and exercises, providing recommendations and plans for evolving and shaping further development of capabilities to meet integrated mission requirements through an active lessons learned process.nn· Demonstrating proficiency with all operation center systems and preparing plans, training and materials supporting mission executionnnWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:nn· Required Experience: BA/BS and 8+ years of experience working on projects focused on strategic/operational plan development with an emphasis on intergovernmental/interagency deliberate planning; emergency management planning, rapid response planning, exercise planning, operations center operations and maintenance and lessons-learned development and archivingnn· Required Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointnn· Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibilitynn· Required Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills; Leadership and mentoring skills and experience leading teams; Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems quickly; Ability to complete projects according to outline scope, budget and timelinenn· Preferred Skills: Project and/or team management. Experience working in an operations center environment. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
