The Inventory Control Coordinator under the supervision of the Inventory Control Supervisor will manage the incoming work, task assignment, & resulting communication process for their assigned team to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
The Inventory Control Coordinator role is responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow for the team of counters.
A qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
Organization: Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes by coordinating work across counters. Ability to participate in training & oversee daily
responsibilities.
Communication: Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication to internal contacts.
Technical: Efficiently research transactions through internal systems. Ability to accurately enter data in excel to record physical inventory results and report discrepancies.
Problem-solving & Investigative skills: Analyze system transactions to determine the cause of inventory discrepancies. Investigate and identify possible operational gaps in processes or procedures leading to inventory discrepancies. Ability to coordinate with peers and across multiple buildings for additional resources, information, and equipment when needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinators are responsible for the day-to-day flow of work & counter support to ensure goals are met accurately and on time.
  • Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
  • Complete recounts, investigate, and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories. Adjust quantity approvals compliant with the inventory control team.
  • Perform cycle counts of inventories regularly.
  • Perform and coordinate Physical inventory with counters.
  • Review and distribute work to counters.
  • Compile and enter work/case approval requests.
  • Assist on projects.
  • Ensure high case/work quality.
  • Identify, log, and send feedback on counter and operations errors.
  • Keep Supervisor informed on the case progress, large discrepancies, and any issues that will prevent completing tasks on time.
  • Responsible for counter & coordinator training, audits, and feedback.
Qualification:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in warehousing/distribution/similar with time spent in a related role such as Team Lead or equivalent.
  • Emphasis on Inventory/Quality Control preferred.
  • General familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills, Microsoft Outlook (email management).
  • Must be able to operate and/or certified to operate a Cherry Picker / Order Picker.
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
