Job description:
We provide paid training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant through classwork and lab skills. CNA Training runs about 3 weeks and has limited and selective seating with only top candidates chosen. We pay for the class & pay you while attending the class
Starting wage is $17.50/hour while in the class. Once class is completed and before testing, wage is updated to $18/hour. In addition, Concordia provides $1.50/hour shift differentials for afternoon and midnight shifts and an additional $1.00/hour for all shifts on the weekends. Once CNA certification is obtained, base wage increases to $19.50/hour .
Full-time and part-time positions are available and include a weekend rotation.
CNA Training Program Qualifications :
• Must be caring, compassionate and understanding
• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred
As a Certified Nursing Assistant , you will have the ability to provide direct care for the residents here at Concordia and get to work in an environment with the best staffing ratios.
Main Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities:
- assisting residents with eating and drinking
- ambulating, transferring, toileting, bladder and bowel management
- personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, turning and positioning
- documenting the care that was provided
- providing treatment per the ADL/treatment book
- answering resident call bells and responding to needs promptly.
