This position is in Cargill’s food ingredients and bio-industrial business, where we anticipate trends around taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies.nnJob Type: Full TimennShift(s) Available: 1 st Monday – Friday – 3 rd Sunday- ThursdaynnCompensation: $31.51/hr – Shift differential $0.50/hrnnBenefits:nn• Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Insurancenn• Health and wellness Incentivesnn• Paid Vacation and Holidaysnn• 401(k) with Cargill matching contributionsnn• Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)nn• Short-term Disability and Life Insurancenn• Employee Assistance Program (EAP)nn• Tuition Reimbursementnn• Employee DiscountsnnThe Maintenance Mechanic position would include maintaining optimum functionality for all plant equipment and systems by performing inspections, completing predictive and preventive maintenance measures, and repairing and modifying equipment and systems with the use of a variety of hand tools and power tools.nnMaintenance Mechanics also identify follow-up work required, work to improve the condition of all facility departments, work as a team member with a positive attitude, help promote and communicate maintenance and reliability to the organization, and perform other duties including housekeeping, attending safety training, and attending communication meetings.nnPrincipal Accountabilities:nnMust be able to interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and express ideas and concerns effectively to co-workers, maintenance personnel and supervisorsnnLog all actions taken in a clear and concise methodnnAble to work with different temperature and humidity conditions in the work area that can vary from temperatures ranging of 0 degrees to 110 degreesnnVerify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instrumentsnnCompleting preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facilitynnInstalling, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various mechanical components and systemsnnAbility to utilize and operate a site related CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system)nnOperating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.nnUtilize maintenance trades and components such as welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsnnInterpreting and understanding mechanical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manualsnnDocumenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessarynnInteracting regularly with external vendors, peers, and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environmentnnOperating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial liftsnnUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsnnMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentnnOther duties as assignednnRequired Qualifications:nnEligible to work in the United Sates without visa sponsorshipnnMust be 18 years of age or oldernnMust be able to use or learn computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and Maintenance software such as SAP or MaximonnAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodationnnAbility to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance noticennAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)nnAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)nnAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)nnAbility to work in confined spacesnnPreferred Qualifications:nn3 or more years of experience in maintenancennExperience with HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) equipment including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and air compressorsnnExperience in a production food environmentnnExperience in MIG (metal inert gas) / TIG (tungsten inert gas) weldingnnAbility to utilize and operate a site related CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)nnMaintenance experience using precision instrumentation including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, sheave alignment tools, etc.nnConsidered candidates will receive a phone call from a (952) area code.
