Job Summary

  • The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is accountable for providing anesthesia care for surgical and procedural patients within the Avera Marshall region.
  • Responsible for anesthesia care of surgical patients, obstetric anesthesia, and acute and chronic pain management.
  • Ultrasound-guided regional including, but not limited to ISB, Axillary, Femoral, TAP and Adductor Canal/Saphenous blocks.
  • Providing airway management and other related interventions to emergency situations

  Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of an approved nurse anesthesia program required
  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nurse Anesthesia preferred.
  • Proficient in peripheral nerve blocks preferred

Certification, Licensure, and/or Registrations

  • Required Upon hire
    • Licensed as an APRN in the State of Minnesota and board certified or eligible from the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks
    • Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations
