Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical/Telemetry team on the night shift  in a fulltime position! 

 

Our Medical/Surgical Unit is a 36 bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat patients with a variety of general and specialized surgical procedures, including orthopedic, bariatric, urology, and cardiac. General medical population to include respiratory, endocrine, nephrology, neurology, cardiology and wound care.

Job Duties:

  • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
  • Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
  • Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute care hospital Med/Surg unit preferred
  • Orthopedics experience highly desired
  • Telemetry experience preferred
