Job Summary
- The Occupational Therapist is accountable for evaluating, planning, and executing all aspects of Occupational Therapy, infant through geriatric, with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to develop and restore maximal functional level.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer’s status.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
- In Swingbed, the primary caseload is 18 and older, pediatrics caseload is birth to 21, with occasional coverage for patients in other age ranges.
Education and/or Experience
- Master’s Degree is required.
- Doctorate Degree is preferred.
- 0-6 months experience is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS
- Must be currently licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is preferred.
Work Schedule
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
