Sterling Automotive Group is hiring! We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business.
Our Parts Driver is a full-time position that performs a variety of services for Sterling including the pickup and delivery of parts from one dealership to another. Our drivers play an integral part in contributing to the service excellence of Sterling in an efficient, safe, polite and profitable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver parts as needed between Sterling and non Sterling dealerships
- Planning a driving route each day according to parts delivery needs
- Check in and unload freight deliveries, stocking parts in their designated area
- May require lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Cross-trained to assist other areas of the Parts Department, including cashiering and Parts Counter
- Practice safe driving practices at all times, both on Sterling property and on the road
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Provides high level service to internal and external customers
- Maintain a weekly inventory check to ensure accuracy of stock
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- We are looking for someone with a demonstrated clean driving record who will adhere to safety protocols and safe driving practices
- The ideal candidate must be coachable, have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication, possess good customer service skills, and maintain professional demeanor & appearance
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age or have 3 full years of driving experience
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required
Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday
