Overview:
The Lead Medical Office Assistant performs clinical and other supporting patient care tasks. This individual also functions as a role model and supervises medical assistant staff. The MA must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care and demonstrate effective communication and problem solving skills. The MOA assists in the design and oversight of efficient patient flow and upholds an environment of patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements:
- Diploma/Certification from an accredited MA program
- BLS certification required
- 5+ years working as a Medical Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight of Medical Assistant staff: daily workflow planning, troubleshooting, staffing needs, delegation of duties, problem solving and MA learning needs.
- Assists in the development and implementation of MA related clinical policies and procedures.
- Works collaboratively with administration on operational and clinical communications and special projects.
- Collects and documents patient information, clinical data and other relevant information such as vital signs, height/weight, allergies, active medication list, chief complaint, pain screen and current symptoms.
- Obtains additional data from patient/significant other, EKG/lab/ diagnostic test results and other historical data. Reports findings to provider, recognizing abnormal findings or changes in condition.
Posted Salary Range:
USD $23.55 - USD $30.04 /Hr.
