We're looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Patient Service Representative to join our RHC department. As a PSR, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, handling tasks such as greeting, scheduling appointments, managing insurance information, processing referrals, and obtaining prior authorizations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently and as politely as possible.
- Greets patients and visitors and has patients fill out appropriate forms, checking for any missing or changed information.Updates patients' demographics, insurance and payments status as necessary.
- Collects copayments/balances from patients.Reviews with patient any overdue balance on the account and assists with payment plan options.Works with patients to resolve any billing concerns.
- Obtains prior authorizations from insurance payers and processes provider orders and referrals according to clinic protocols.
- Books follow-up appointments and other appointments as necessary with patients.
- Performs scanning, filing and other administrative duties/tasks.
- Orders and tracks office supplies.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
