JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist staff as necessary and according to the level of certification or training achieved.Receive medical supplies and store them properly. Provide accurate documentation and inventory.Transcribe prescription requests and enter information into log; create labels and Medication Administration Records.Initiates health records for inmates/detainees. Maintains confidentiality of all medical record information. Monitors and maintains accountability for all health records on file.Pulls and prepares health records for practitioners (medical, dental and mental health), sick call, chronic care visits and transfers.Files loose paperwork and performs other clerical duties as assigned. Ensure medical supply cart, trauma bag, the PPE room and the facility first aid kits are fully and accurately stocked at all times.Submit order forms for medical and office supplies, under supervision of Registered Nurse and Physician.Assist with maintenance of the Sick Call, Chronic Clinic, and Specialty Logs.Provide patient care according to nurse or physician instructions and appropriate to level of training.Perform 15-minute checks on identified patients and document encounters.It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Basic clerical skills, basic healthcare skills.At least six months of healthcare experience requiredPhysical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
