Overview:
The Clinical Endoscopy Technician assists physicians and nurses through endoscopic examinations of patients. Working under close supervision, this role prepares the instruments, supplies, and equipment used during these procedures in order to provide superior care.

Responsibilities:
Supports the cleaning and maintenance of the autoclaves, or steam sterilizers, in order to provide a sterile working environment for the procedure.
Prepares the operating room by setting up equipment and confirming that each piece functions properly so that all necessary equipment is ready for the procedure.
Cleans the endoscopes in line with the Infection Control policies to provide a sterile environment for the patient.
Assists with the maintenance of automated scope re-process filters and reports any problems to the clinic office coordinator in order to provide functioning equipment.
Collects bodily fluid specimens from patients in order to provide samples for medical study.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Required: 1 year
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
