Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Parts Manager to oversee our parts department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in parts management within the agricultural industry, excellent leadership skills, and a strong focus on customer service. This role is critical in ensuring the availability of parts, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Parts Department Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and improve accuracy.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist customers in identifying and obtaining the parts they need, offering expert advice and recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of parts professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide training and support to team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Vendor & Supplier Relations:
- Establish and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of parts.
- Stay updated on new products and industry trends to ensure the availability of the latest parts and technologies.
Sales & Marketing:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote parts sales and increase revenue.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in parts management within the agricultural or related industry.
- Strong understanding of agricultural equipment and parts.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement efficient inventory management processes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
