Summary: Provide service excellence to the residents and staff by maintaining the Ministry Site building and grounds and completion of Job Orders for maintenance of the buildings and outside grounds.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Any mechanical, electrical or maintenance related experience is helpful but not essential with at least two (2) years prior maintenance experience preferred

Essential Job Duties: *Indicates that this task is considered high risk for exposure to bio-hazardous materials. Standard Precautions must be followed in all job duties. Responsible for the appearance and maintenance of the Site buildings and campus. Must organize workload and prioritize Work Orders to provide repairs to not interrupt daily activity needs and complete Work Orders to maintain the appearance and functions of the facility. Operate small electrical tools, lawn mowers, roto tillers, edgers, etc. Interior and exterior painting. Perform duties in accordance with established methods and techniques in conformance with recognized standards as well as federal/state rules and regulations. Knowledgeable of and able to carry out expected procedures during all types of disasters and drills. Maintain the preventative maintenance program as established by supervisor. Is available to assist other staff as may be necessary to provide a service in emergency situations. Cleans/replaces filters in air handlers, washers, dryers, extractors, waste systems, vents and exhaust fans. Maintain water, heating and sewage systems as required. Assist in maintaining security of grounds and buildings. Clean, adjust, oil and repair wheelchairs and other mobility-aiding vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance and routinely scheduled chores. Works outside as necessary including complete snow removal (removing snow from parking lots, sidewalks, fire lanes, entrances and exits when necessary) and lawn care jobs. Paint inside and outside as needed. Complete electrical and plumbing jobs under supervisor direction in accordance with established codes. Perform carpentry work. Provide moving services to residents. Assist with building restoration. Moves and/or lifts heavy boxes/packages when needed. Transports hazardous waste to proper designated disposal area on the campus daily and other waste to dumpster twice daily or as required. Provides custodial duties such as dry/damp mop, scrubbing, floor stripping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, etc. Maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of furniture, fixtures, walls, windows, shelves, draperies. Reports observed safety hazards in work are or any are of the Ministry Site to a supervisor
Other Duties: Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances. Participate in staff meetings and education programs designated for attendance. All other duties as assigned
Working Conditions: Works throughout the Campus. Use general building equipment and tools. Work in office areas as well as throughout the resident and/or clinical areas; move intermittently during working hours and is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with residents/clients, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc. under all conditions and circumstances. Communicate with medical staff, nursing personnel and other department supervisors. Work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary as well as in other positions as needed. Is subject to call-back during emergency situations (i.e. severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.) May be subject to injury from slip/falls as may stand on ladder to reach high places, burns from equipment, odors, etc. throughout the workday. May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals
