Da/Pro rubber is looking for an experienced Lead Machinist/Toolmaker for our Broken Arrow location! Under the direction of the Tool & Die Supervisor, the lead general machinist uses their experience to guide the team and assist the Supervisor in the seamless operation of the department. Duties will include running manual machines, producing and repairing support equipment for production, and to maintain highest level of efficiencies and compliance with customer specifications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair tools for used in multiple processes throughout the company
- Troubleshoot and problem solve for successful solutions in situations with limited time constraints
- Oversee machine conditioning troubleshooting.
- Inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
- Setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (Nc) machines and machining centers to assist in the manufacture of injection molds and related fixtures.
- Verifying conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Notify supervisor of excessive defects on any particular component.
- Ability to read and understand blue prints and basic math skills.
- Receive training to run any and all equipment.
- Perform all work safely, following all safety procedures.
- Process documentation associated with rework and nonconformance manufactured products.
- Operating a manual mill or lathe.

- Experience ordering tools and the ability to research parts and alternate vendors when necessary.
- Intermediate tooling knowledge in a manufacturing facility
- Experience in inventory control and maintenance
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Job Shop experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Occasionally: sit, push/pull up to 50 lbs., reach above shoulder with both hands, lift/carry 10-50 lbs.
Frequently: walk, lift upward with both arms outstretched, count and calculate, communicate details.
Constantly: stand, reach outward with both hands, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., handle/finger, wrist and elbow flexion, rotation and articulation.
