Job Title: Line Cook
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation of all food items and equipment. The successful candidate will be a hands-on support to ensure efficient production of high-quality food. You will also assist the kitchen staff and support all other functions of the kitchen.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Prepare and cook food items including but not limited to: chopping, slicing, dicing, grilling, baking, boiling, frying, and sauting.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and cooked according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Assist in the daily cleaning and organization of kitchen equipment.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to ensure that all food items are prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food handler's certification is a plus.
