SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who designs, implements, updates, analyzes and assesses activities in a behavioural intervention/teaching program.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS* Working with clients who are neurodivergent; * Work collaboratively with the Intervention Team, CMC staff of 9 communities and external partners;* Provide clinical skills instructions, behavior increase and behavior reduction protocols, and evidence-based practices to those working with clients;* Developing awareness, learning modules and workshop materials.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field; or Bachelor/Master with focus in Applied Behaviour Analysis
Experience:
- Minimum of two (4) years of relevant experience;
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience with ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent differences;
- Knowledge of how to intervene with behavior(s) targeted for change in effective and socially significant ways;
- Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to coaching and training;
- Experience with community-based interventions and coordination of service plans;
- Good critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills;
- Autonomous, flexible, discreet and empathetic;
- Teamwork skills, dynamism, sense of accountability and resourcefulness;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience with Cree culture and language and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;
- Experience with First nation or with cross-cultural work is an asset.
LANGUAGE* Fluent in English;* Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
OTHER * Willing to travel to various communities.
