SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who designs, implements, updates, analyses and assesses activities and provides guidance and counselling services in one or more social programs.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
As clinical advisor, this person will provide clinical support, mentoring, support to professional activities and provide guidance and best practice information to social workers, human relations officers and community worker as it relates to the care of individuals with a complex disability profile.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- University degree in social work;
- The person must provide her/his employer with annual proof that they are a member of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux du Québec.
Experience: * Four (4) years of pertinent experience.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability in the identification and analysis of the clientele needs;
- Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to mentor and training;
- Knowledge and experience with ADHD, ASD and other neurodivergent differences;
- Good understanding of psychosocial issues;
- Understanding of First Nations culture and issues that affect individuals, families and communities is an asset;
- Ability to apply Eeyou/Eenou culture, values, traditions and teachings into programs and services where possible;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Autonomous, discrete and empathetic;
- Capable of working in a multi- team
- Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision making skills;
- Co-develop awareness, learning modules and workshop materials.
- Ability to receive and apply feedback;
- Ability to deliver presentations to different audiences (professionals, families, youth).
LANGUAGE* Fluent in English;* Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
