Job Description
Role Details:
  • Setting: Outpatient, Clinic/Procedure Coverage
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Weekend Requirements: NA
  • On-call Requirements: NA
Duties:
  • Perform EGD, EVS, and general GI cases
  • Manage 12-15 procedures per day
  • Handle 8-10 clinic patients daily (30-minute slots)
  • Address cases such as IBD, abdominal pain, EOE, and minimal hepatitis
Procedures:
  • General GI cases
  • Procedures use max sedation/propofol, supervised by an anesthesiologist
  • Procedure blocks: 30 minutes, with 12-15-minute durations (can double book/run two rooms)
  • Fujinon scopes utilized
Additional Details:
  • EMR Systems: EPIC (Smartsets for ordering) and Provation
  • Support Staff:
  • MA, RN, Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-ray Tech
  • APP available on-site 2 days per week (depending on shifts)
  • Workload:
  • 40+ procedures on the waitlist
  • 40-50 clinic patients per week (Monday-Thursday)
  • Bowel prep at provider preference (e.g., Miralax)

  • Jan 13-17
  • Jan 27-31
  • Feb 12-14
  • Feb 26-28
  • Mar 10-14
  • Mar 24-28
  • ongoing dates will be needed Mon-Fri
Licensure & Certification Requirements:
  • Licensed in UT
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible: BC
  • BLS, CSR
