Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time CDL Driver to transport explosives and other materials to projects throughout the United States. Full-time employment potential, based on qualifications and capabilities. Candidate must be a reliable and skilled driver capable of transporting explosives safely and efficiently while adhering to all laws and regulations. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all aspects of driving.
Company trucks provided with sleeper berth.
Competitive hourly pay, 401K and other benefits possible.
Travel expenses and per diem provided.
Duties
  • Transport explosives and other materials to projects throughout the United States.
  • Load and unload product as necessary, ensuring proper handling.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours, driving hours, manifests, and any incidents or delays.
  • Communicate effectively with home office and supervisors regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transport.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
  • Some deliveries/pick-ups will be two-man trips.
Qualifications
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class C with Hazmat endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Physically fit with no pre-existing physical limitations and must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs over their head.
  • Ability to perform manual loading/unloading tasks as required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Bureau (ATF).
  • Ability to pass required random drug screenings.
  • Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with route driving and freight transportation.
  • Needs to be very flexible with schedule as our schedule routinely changes.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or with a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
