Cleaver Brooks is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Maintenance Technician performs advanced electromechanical work involving design and documentation for any new, existing, or prototype equipment; entails troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of electrical-mechanical systems, equipment and fixtures. Performs advanced maintenance and electrical duties related to equipment or facility troubleshooting, repair, replacement and basic electronic functions.

Job Location: Lincoln, NE
Shift: Second Shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)
Essential Duties:
- Performs all normal maintenance work such as troubleshooting, repair, replacement and installation of circuit boards and other electronic components on production equipment. Install new or repair/replace lighting, feeder circuits, machinery wiring, air compressors, plant air/oxygen/gas distribution and all other electrical/mechanical maintenance work requiring thorough knowledge or training in advanced electrical/mechanical theory.
- Understands the necessary purchasing related procedures to order a replacement or spare part, including the paperwork procedures required for purchase requisitions.
- Maintains adequate records of inventory of spare parts for all production equipment and reports needed for replacement.
- Must have the ability to diagnose and repair/replace any basic building, structure or grounds problem.
- Must be capable of performing preventative maintenance tasks on all welding equipment, drills, brake, tube bender, shear, plasma table, fin tube, air tools, forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Must be capable of performing intricate machine maintenance installation, repair and / or replacement, except where management determines that machinery complexity requires outside services.
- Must capable of troubleshooting and performing electrical repairs on all welding equipment.
- Must be able to identify parts, place purchase orders and receive parts related to plant equipment.
- Must successfully complete confined space safety training.
- Must know, understand, and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
- Must know, understand, and abide by plant ISO procedures and 5S procedures.
- Must know and understand how to use IFS time keeping system.
- Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
- Support peers and management with internal and external projects.
- Adhere to company policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education: High school education or GED equivalent preferred. Associate degree in Electromechanical or Electronic Engineering Technology preferred. Technical training in industrial maintenance and/or industrial electricity preferred. Good reading, writing and math skills required.
Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in industrial electronics, with some background in maintenance and/or industrial electricity preferred. Knowledge of basic electricity; strong verbal and interpersonal skills; basic welding skills; ability to use a variety of hand and power tools; and ability to properly use a tape measure and read a blueprint preferred.
Physical Skill and Effort: Work requires ability to lift 60-100 lbs.; ability to use different body positions – twisting, pulling, pushing etc., work at 40 ft. heights, work in confined space, access all areas of the plant inside and outside temperatures, and use all required PPE.
