Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for someone to join their team on a 1-year contract in Calgary.
The SCM Category Specialist will be responsible for sustaining a fit-for-purpose Category Management plan across their assigned Indirect Portfolio. The overall Indirect Category includes IT, HR, and other Corporate spending.
- Accountability for contributing to the Value Creation program, driving cost reduction / avoidance and operational efficiency / effectiveness that is impactful to the P&L
- Ownership of all Master Service Agreements and Corporate Contracts in their assigned portfolio
- Strategic Sourcing for our Projects & Operations teams, in collaboration with the Projects SCM and the Operations SCM teams
- Support in executing and organizing processes and activities in accordance with the company's SCM Policy and Standards
Requirements:
- Related post-secondary education an asset
- A minimum of 5-8 years of Supply Chain Management contracts experience
- Experience managing a corporate IT category would be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to drive supplier value creation through category management and strong post-award contract management
- Experience utilizing Maximo contract software would be an asset
- Collaborative mindset, willing to work alongside the subject-matter experts and Business Unit clients to drive sustainable change in our supply base
- The candidate will have a successful track record of effectively progressing category management ideas through to implementation
- Success in this role goes well beyond technical expertise; understanding how to build consensus across the organization and manage stakeholder relations, all while inspiring and driving change
- The right candidate will be a relationship builder; able to navigate the organization and rally the appropriate corporate resources behind critical business initiatives
