Job Summary:

Our Delta Storage Products division is seeking a full-time CAD Designer to join our Engineering and Design team! The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience designing customized racking parts and systems, experience using AutoCAD, and a post-secondary diploma in Computer Aided Design.
A Typical Day:
As CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, and layouts for our clients and inspecting custom designed racking systems onsite. This includes collaborating closely with our Engineering and Installation teams to identify and troubleshoot design issues and ensure compliance with industry standards. Everyday will be filled with variety!
Requirements:
- A post-secondary diploma in Civil Structural Architectural Drafting from an accredited educational institution
- 2 years+ experience using AutoCAD to design selective/push-back/drive-in racking systems
- 2 years+ experience designing customized racking parts to fit various racking systems
- 2 years+ experience working with forklifts as they relate to the design of a wire guidance system, and forklift interfaces for custom racking systems
- 2 years+ experience inspecting custom designed selective/push-back/drive-in racking systems, while working under the guidance of a BC-registered Structural Engineer
- Experience with torque specifications, embedment, clearance issues as related to engineering requirements and the BCBC 2018 and BCBC 2024
- Previous experience using a micrometer to identify and record used racking systems
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with personal vehicle to travel throughout BC to perform inspection work
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Products is required (Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Language of work is English, and the ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Proven strong detail oriented skills
