Warehouse Coordinator
Our client, an importer and distributor of fine foods is currently searching for a Warehouse Coordinator to join their team in Mississauga
Responsibilities
- Release orders (print Pick Tickets) for pickers to pick.
- Perform Special Processing in WMS – (location moving on orders, switching lots on orders, order amendment, etc.)
- Book appointments for accounts that need appointments, such as Costco, Metro, etc.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to schedule deliveries and monitor shipment progress
- Request extensions due to missed appointments or changing appointments with carriers.
- Make any quantity adjustments as necessary (when required).
- Assist in the waiving of orders as required by the WMS system.
- Maintain accurate records on warehouse activities
- Participate in all warehouse operational functions as directed by the Operations Supervisor.
- Perform other functions assigned by the Operations Supervisor from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred).
- At least 2 years experience in warehouse coordination, logistics and/or administration
- Food industry experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as; receiving orders, coordinating shipments and addressing urgent issues, while ensuring that each task receives the appropriate level of attention.
- A commitment to accuracy and precision in all tasks, such as checking inventory counts to ensure that orders are picked and packed with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software, such as WMS, and Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, suppliers, carriers, and customers effectively.
