Job Description Lead Refrigeration Technician The Lead Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems and ensures the proper functioning of refrigeration equipment to preserve perishable goods and maintain optimal store operations.
*Work is not closely supervised and is governed by standardized work routines that permit the use of initiative, and typically has an impact through the provision of activities that require technical understanding or through the provision of administrative support of a facilitative or interpretive nature.
Job Responsibilities: - Maintains and repairs cooling towers, refrigeration systems and refrigerated sales cases.
- Assists in the installation and setup of new refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Completes maintenance schedules of various refrigeration system components as directed by supervisor or as outlined by standard refrigeration maintenance guidelines and procedures.
- Monitors refrigeration equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintains records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborates with store leadership and team members regarding equipment needs and maintenance schedules.
- Provides guidance regarding effective stocking and cleaning procedures.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned by management.
Experience: HS Diploma and seven or more (7+) years of vocational training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, how they work and how they are maintained.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Physical Demands Supports retail store requests for maintenance or repair, often driving from one store location to another.
Work Environment Work is performed in a retail store environment. Frequent travel is required. Ability to work extended and irregular hours, as required, in support of the Company's business needs, to include rotating on-call shifts.
Must be at least 18-years old.
