Chant Engineering, based in the Doylestown, PA area, is a leading, diversified engineering company that designs, manufactures, services, and calibrates testing machines, aircraft hydraulic test stands, and related accessories for industrial and military customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a full-time Shop Helper. In this role the Shop Helper must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to work with various hand tools. This Shop Helper position is entry level, for the right person it has the potential for growth within the shop team. The qualified Shop Helper must have a current and valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug and background test.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Welders / Fabricators drilling holes and cutting materials for jobs.
- Degrease, grind and clean equipment for painting.
- Paint industrial equipment.
- Assemble various products.
- Clean the shop as needed.
- Assist the shipping department as needed, for example: assisting with receiving, making shipping crates, cleaning equipment before shipping and loading equipment.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Capable of using various hand tools.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
