Work involves performing general maintenance and light-construction in parking, lots, garages, and surrounding areas. This position also maintains parking meters.nnResponsibilities include but are not limited to:nnDaily cleans assigned areas; sweeps floors, dumps trashcans; washes windows and mirrors; and scrubs restrooms.nnCleans walkways and areas around buildings.nnSweeps, vacuums, and spot cleans surfaces as necessary.nnMust be able to interact in a friendly and helpful manner with other employees, the public, staff, and others.nnMust be able to stand/walk for periods up to 8 hours; bend; stoop; and climb ladders, and stairs.nnMust be able to move industrial size mops and cleaning equipment and be able to lift equipment, materials, and supplies up to 60 pounds.nnMust be able to work in a team environment and be able to follow instructions both orally and in writing.nnMust be able to read and follow work schedules.nnRequires full range of hearing, peripheral and night vision, and color/depth perception.nnMay require regular exposure to inclement and severe weather conditions.nnMaintains parking meters by installing and removing, cleaning up in and around meter boxes and vaults, breaking down discarded meters, preparing meters to be reutilized and rebuilding, retesting meters, and collecting revenue from meters.nnEducation/ExperiencennWork requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines.
