As the Maintenance Technician - Distribution, we need someone who can adjust machines, the facility and equipment for proper operation.nnPrimary ObjectivennOperates and performs various electrical and mechanical duties on machines, equipment and the facility.nnMajor Function and ScopennAs a Warehouse Maintenance Technician , you’ll be a critical part of the team, ensuring the facilities, equipment and grounds of the distribution center are kept in excellent condition in order to support the safe and efficient movement of goods to, from and through the warehousennYou’ll use blueprints, diagrams, manuals and written instructions to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on key equipment, machinery, electrical systems and structuresnnIn this role, you will maintain, schedule maintenance, and assist in repairing warehouse equipmentnnYou’ll ensure the upkeep of a clean, organized and full-functional distribution center environmentnnVisually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment using electrical, electronic testing equipment and hand toolsnnDesign machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools and improves existing efficienciesnnMaintain, change and charge batteries for powered equipment to ensure efficient workflownnPaint, plaster, and perform building maintenance functions including plumbing and carpentry to maintain facilitynnCompletes minor and routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, install and repair office fixtures and other building related maintenancennAssists with preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation of Distribution Center equipmentnnPerforms maintenance and repairs adhering to all safety guidelinesnnExperience and Knowledge RequirednnHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.nnCompetenciesnnRoutinely working at a height that requires fall protection.nn1-year or more facility maintenance experience.nnOther Pertinent Job InformationnnWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
