Here, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation and build a rewarding career.nnStrongsville Family Health & Surgery Center's Internal Medicine department provides comprehensive services for adults, such as diagnosing and treating health problems that require prompt attention, conducting general physical examinations, and performing screenings to detect health problems early.nnA caregiver in this position works 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:00am - 8:00pm.nnAdditionally, a caregiver in this position can be expected to work an evening and Saturday rotation.nnResponsibilities:nnCollects and documents objective and subjective data and observations about the patient.nnContributes observations and health information to the nursing assessment and reports all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.nnImplements the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider.nnDocuments and verbally communicates the patient's response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.nnContributes to the revision of the nursing plan of carennProvides education and information to patients and family members.nnMaintains professional growth and development within nursing field.nnParticipates in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, shares knowledge, experiences, and provides guidance when assigned.nnOther duties as assigned.nnEducation:nnGraduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.nnCertifications:nnCurrent Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).nnBasic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).?nnComplexity of Work:nnRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.nnMust be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions.nnWork Experience:nnOne year of patient care experience preferred.nnPhysical Requirements:nnRequires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.nnRequires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.nnRequires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.nnRequires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.nnMedium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.nnPhysical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.nnPersonal Protective Equipment:nnFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.nnSalaries (which may be) shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
