About the Unit
Join our dynamic 28-bed med/surg unit focused on renal care, where you'll engage with a diverse patient population experiencing acute and chronic renal failure requiring hemodialysis and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nephrologists, social workers, case managers, and dieticians to enhance your critical thinking and clinical skills. Together, we foster a supportive and collaborative nursing environment with excellent teamwork, including 8 telemetry monitored beds for renal patients with cardiac complications.

Scope of Work
As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the ANA scope of practice and the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care. You will incorporate patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and manage safe discharges. Your role includes collaborating with and gaining insights from patients and families to create effective care plans, along with documenting educational strategies and learning in the health records.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
- Applicants from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role and have successfully passed the NCLEX examination.
- Current MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Specialty certification is highly recommended within 2 years.
