The Dentist is responsible for the entire clinical patient experience from initial exam and treatment plan to delivery of care. In-office specialty services include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics.?

Responsibilities
n
n - Promote oral health and disease prevention
n
n
n - Diagnose oral diseases
n
n
n - Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
n
n
n - Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient’s oral health
n
n
n - Review treatment plan options with patients
n
n
n - Review, maintain and update patients’ medical and dental records
n
n
n - Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests
n
n
n - Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws
n
n
n - Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
n
n
n - Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity
n
n
n - Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients
n
n
n - Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism
n
n
n - Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through current continuing education courses and professional development
n
n
Qualifications
n
n - DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association?Commission on Dental Accreditation?(ADA CODA)
n
n
n - Current state license to practice dentistry
n
n
n - Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination
n
n
n - Proof of malpractice insurance
n
n
n - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
n
