Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, NYC and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Credentialing Program Assistant. This is a hybrid position that will report to our Peekskill Executive office on non-remote working days. Remote schedule will be determined by manager and subject to change. This is a 35 hour per week role, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
A Credentialing Program Assistant is responsible to assist in maintaining Provider Credentialing files as well as to assist the Director of Credentialing with day to day department work as required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain all Provider Files and Relevant Excel Spreadsheet on an ongoing basis
- Enter providers data into IntelliCred Software
- Primary Source for Other Licensed or Certified practitioners (OLCPs) and Other Clinical Staff
- Completion of new providers' credentialing process through on-boarding
- Completion current providers' recredentialing process
- Follow-up with Credentials Verification Organization regarding completion of credentialing and recredentialing
- Data Entry, Provider Peer Audits, report to each provider file, Excel spreadsheet kept of audits received, copy to CMO when requested
- Assist in maintenance of calculations needed for yearly provider performance evaluation results and report data to financial analyst for Chief of Medical Officer
- Process provider Reimbursements, log them into a spreadsheet, have them approved by an appropriate supervisor
- They will perform other duties as assigned or requested. In addition, perform job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards
- Establishes and maintains good relationships with providers
- Updating and Maintenance of delegated credentialing spreadsheet
- Performs all clerical duties related to the Credentialing Department Operations, including scheduling meetings, filing and typing minutes
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Education Requirement: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Related Work Experience: 2-4 years
Minimum Specialized Skills & Knowledge Requirement: Ability to communicate in English (oral and written)

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
