1. Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program. Certified or eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Arkansas.
2. Training and Experience: Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients, and visitors.
3. Job Knowledge: Delivers appropriate care to patients from neonatal through geriatrics with regards to age specific considerations (see attached sheet).
4. Safety Sensitive: YES
In the interest of protecting the health and safety of all patients, associates, and guests, Unity Health has classified some positions as "safety sensitive." A "safety sensitive" position is any job position in which impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. Any associate that is actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, will be excluded from employment in a "safety sensitive" position.
DESCRIPTION:
A certified or certificate eligible technician who is responsible for respiratory care given in any area of the hospital including special care units. May be assigned supervisory responsibilities when adequately prepared. Must be willing to learn cardiovascular procedures as required.
Physical Effort: Maintains good physical well being. Job responsibilities require a great deal of walking, bending, pushing heavy equipment, wheel chairs and lifting patients.
Mental Effort: Maintains good emotional well being. Posses the ability to work under stress.
Monday thru Friday 8 am until 4:30 pm with some after hours call.
