Job Description Inova Fairfax Hospital Acute Care is looking for a PRN to join our hard working, goal oriented team. This role is PRN, 2 weekend shifts a month, 1 major and 1 minor holiday. We are a level 1 trauma center dedicated to helping our patients recover and thrive.

Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities: - Documents evaluation results clearly and completely according to department policy.
- Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance and an assessment as to status, relevant to the treatment plan, and eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.
- Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
- Provides educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' level of understanding and motivation.
- Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment and protocols. Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines - adjusting the treatment plan as needed.
Occupational Therapist Additional Requirements: Education: B.S. in Occupational Therapy, master's Preferred
Certification: BLS through American Heart Association (AHA)
Licensure: VA License required
Special Skills: Basic computer knowledge, proficient in English verbal and written skill
